Yorkie Splash & Shine Review and Giveaway

Yorkie Splash was created out of a need for a shampoo to fit the specific needs of Yorkshire terriers. After trying numerous products, we here at Walnut Hill decided that there just wasn't anything on the market that worked well for every type of Yorkie - sensitive skin, coarse hair, cottony coats, silky coats, dry coats, or oily coats. We finally decided that keeping 5 different kinds of products around was just not manageable. So, we endeavored to make our own! After a lot of research, consulting with experts, and some trial and error on scent, we came up with a "formula" that did exactly what we wanted it to - make every type of Yorkie coat look and feel amazing, and smell great, too.

 

After using our shampoo on our own Yorkies, friends began asking how they could get their hands on some of our shampoo. So, we bottled a little. Pretty soon, word of mouth created a buzz that has continued to grow.

My Review: Yorkie Splash and Shine is a line of grooming products specifically targeted for the coats and skin of Yorkshire terriers. The three most popular products are the Yorkie Splash (shampoo), Yorkie Shine (Conditioner), and Yorkie Sheen (detangling spray) and I was lucky enough to try all three of them.

These products smell great and will not irritate your dog's skin. Using the shampoo was a little tricky because it felt slightly tacky even after rinsing, or "waxy" as the product description states, but that is expected upon first use. It was slightly mitigated by using the conditioner and was much better after using the detangler and drying the fur.

Yorkie Splash's products are very affordable and have great packaging. I like how there are instructions on each product as well, right on the front for easy access. This shampoo set will last a long time since yorkshire terriers are smaller breeds. I did not need to use that much to lather up my dog.
